Germany is so screwed up that people there are attacking police who daring to impose the will of law and evict people who don’t want to pay rent.

Police say more than 120 officers were injured and 86 demonstrators were detained during leftist riots in the German capital which police call “the most aggressive and violent protests in the last five years.”
Berlin police said in a statement Sunday that protesters threw bottles, cobblestones and fireworks, destroyed cars and attacked officers. Only one of the police officers required treatment at a hospital. It wasn’t immediately clear how many rioters were injured.
About 3,500 protesters participated in the rallies, which started Saturday evening and lasted until early Sunday. Activists had called for the demonstration to protest against police operations at buildings taken over the squatters in the eastern part of the city last month.
Around 1,800 police officers were called in to monitor the protesters.
I thought WE had it bad – these people are rioting for the right to live for free on other people’s property!! Man, Europe is DOOMED.
Here’s another report from the BBC where they blame “gentrification” – in America that usually carries racial undertones, but here it appears it just means, “landowners evicting bums who want live on their land for free.” But giving it a 5-syllable euphemism makes it sound more noble:
Tensions have risen since moves began in June to evict squatters in the area. Friedrichshain has undergone rapid gentrification in recent years.
About 1,800 police were deployed at the protest, which began peacefully but escalated into violence. Eighty-six people were arrested, police said.
Squatters are refusing to leave part of a block of flats at 94 Rigaer Strasse. Since June, squads of police have been monitoring the building day and night, with helicopters circling overhead.
Police fired tear gas as shop windows were shattered and police cars damaged.
Many of the neighbours live in housing collectives and sympathise with the squatters, who see themselves as a left-wing alternative to gentrification and rising rents.
Yeah, nobody likes rising rents – except the people who actually own the land and have the right to do what they want with their property. WTf Germany?! You got Muslims immigrating to rape and pillage, but you’re whining because you have to pay high rent? Lol! DOOOOOMED!!
Then again maybe I’m missing something, seeing as this is a foreign story – can anyone who knows more about the issue explain it to me?
