Even Trump has already tweeted about it today:
Possible progress being made in talks with North Korea. For the first time in many years, a serious effort is being made by all parties concerned. The World is watching and waiting! May be false hope, but the U.S. is ready to go hard in either direction!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 6, 2018
But John Bolton isn’t buying it. He says N. Korea has been at this for 25 years and the only thing Kim Jong Un clearly wants is to get deliverable nuclear weapons.
He explains below:
Bolton does concede that N. Korea may be a little worried about how this administration will respond versus previous administrations, but at the end of the day it’s absurd to believe that in year 26, when N. Korea is so close to achieving their goal, that all of a sudden they are interested in abandoning it.
In fact Bolton even makes a prediction, that if these talks happen and N. Korea lures the US into making ‘good faith’ concessions, then he predicts that N. Korea will have deliverable nukes by the end of this year.
There’s much more in the clip so be sure and watch it. Great analysis by Bolton.
