    Mark would be wasted on the (rightly functioing) Supreme Court, nor would the Presidency engage all his powers.  I think he has the eye of a superior historian, an intelligent person informed by history  and intellectually equipped to take the appropriate steps into the future.  Though his office is not named in the Constitution, we desperately need such a person …such persons, if he has any peers …in our national leadership.

    It was a great presentation.  Thanks for posting it for us Scoop. 

    Admittedly, I have been skeptical of Mark’s solution.  My thought was, if none of the branches of the Federal Government are confined by the Constitution as it is now, how would they be confined by an amended one?
    I think Mark answered my concern.  He said that one of the amendments, if passed, would be able to abrogate a Supreme Court decision with a 3/5th vote of the states.  That would apply to Congress and the Executive branches as well, but my main concern was the Supreme Court legislating from the bench.
    I am now on board with the Liberty Amendments.  I have always thought Federalism was our way out and by giving the states the power to override unconstitutional laws, court rulings, and regulations, we have a shot at true Federalism.

    sybilll You will *LOVE IT*  — Hubby and I planned our 10-year anniversary “gift” to ourselves as a trip to Hawaii (we were too poor do it as a honeymoon trip like we wanted), and after hearing Mark rave about the Library, I made a point of scheduling our flight out with an overnight in L.A., just so we could make the trip to Simi Valley.
    The Reagan Library is truly beautiful.  It’s inspiring.  The vistas are breathtaking.  
    I can honestly say, after 5 hours, when I left, I felt like a “Born Again” Conservative.  It just renewed by belief and hope in America — especially as we went in June 2012, and I wasn’t at all sure we would be able to “de-throne” The Imperial One.
    Folks, if you can — AT ALL — visit the Reagan Library, DO IT!  You will NOT be sorry.

    The key is an informed and involved public.  Without an involved We The People, even the states will fail.

    Marks book is perfectly timed.  The process will start.  Progress will be made but not enough to get it done. Then…..the system WILL collapse.  Sooner than most people realize.  People will be forced to confront the failure of the Statist Progressive Federal superstate.  THEN we will have the path cleared for getting this done.

    I was lucky enough to be at the Reagan Library today. It was packed with wonderful people. We are truly lucky to have Mark Levin. It’s now up to us to spread the liberty amendment message to our STATE legislators far and wide.

    Great discussion. Lots of powerful stuff. I don’t think there’s another government in the world that has a provision for the people to take back the federal government through legal means. At least, not like this.

    Article Five of the
    describes the process whereby the Constitution may be altered. Altering
    the Constitution consists of proposing an amendment or amendments and
    subsequent ratification.
    Amendments may be proposed by either:
    Two-thirds () of both the Senate and the House of Representatives of the By a assembled at the request of the of at least two-thirds (at least 34) of the United States’ 50
    To become part of the Constitution, amendments must then be ratified either by approval of:
    The legislatures of three-fourths (at least 38) the states; or held in three-fourths of the states.
    Any amendment so ratified becomes a valid part of the Constitution,
    provided that no state “shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the
    senate”, without its consent.

    blasater  You are right…It may take a collapse of the system before we will do it.  If it will lead us back to our freedom under our constitution, so be it.

  • I do not have the knowledge or understanding of Mark Levin….just one Americans take.  If every state in the nation was strong.  Balance their budgets and maximized their asset’s.  Made their states the greatest state to live work and  play…they could tell the feds to stick to their role and go pound sand when they mess with us!
    A side note…here in GA we have had an increase in snake population this year.  My husband was bitten by a copperhead Saturday evening…please do internet research and learn as much as you can about identifying snakes and what to do if you are bitten by a poisonous snake.  It did help us..long story..but knowledge is power!

    Who has been saying to themselves, our government sucks and we need to make changes, but we cannot because they are all corrupt? I have been hemming and hawwing this for years with no answers. And yes I know that is all hot air, but with the help of Mark Levin, I truly believe the answer is right in our faces…it is our Constitution…PLEASE, PLEASE watch this, there is a way to make changes….Embrace the Constitution….He is not James Madison, he is more like Thomas Paine and Common Sense….

    Mark, I think you should, if you can, give away these books, to every member of the Senate and if possible the House.  Maybe, it will get them thinking, for real!  Also, given all the liberal teachers and their College Positions, we desperately need you, to talk with College Students, who are so confused….and believe me they are confused, and brainwashed!

    Most valuable take away for me was the last:  if your state is dark blue, rally in the red and purple states.  Collect all the state legislators’ contact info and make them aware.
    Another important point people don’t readily see is that this is a state thing, so forget your federal representatives…they’re the ones your’re acting against.

    EleanorCovino That is a very expensive situation. They, meaning the Senate, and the House would never read it just like they do not read other valuable information. Plus, they do not care. If they are Democrats they will not change their thought process because that’s where their bread is buttered. That is the only thing these people think of first! Plus the president will take things away from their states they represent if they do not go along with the games put before them.

    Thank you! Was on my agenda to listen as soon as I got home from church. Was not disappointed in any way. Great information and got some ideas of what to do here in Central Ohio. Ordering his book this evening from Premiere to have one with an autograph. And I think I will brush up on a little US Constitution until it arrives! Should keep me busy for a few days…

    im reading his book now.  I think this is the only way to bring us back to our founding principles.  Congress will try to de rail the process or offer their own water down amendments.

    FernandoArce  I too am reading the book, about 2/3’s through it….and I’m finding myself agreeing with Levin.   I’m not sure it’s the ONLY way to bring us back, but it’s the most peaceful and civil way.  There are other means, and I am so disgusted with the current crop of losers in the White House, SCOTUS, and Congress that I’m not all that particular how it happens at this point.  Jefferson did speak of how the Tree of Liberty needed to be watered from  time  to time.

    So, it looks like ‘We the People’ have a whole lotta walkin’ and talkin, walkin’ and talkin’, walkin’ and talkin’ to do to inform and educate busy moms and dads about the U.S. Constitution, specifically about Article 5 as the legitimate constitutional way to ‘TRANSFORM America’ BACK into a constitutional representative republic.
    Is it too late?
    Well, there’s ONLY one way to find out.
    As Sarah Palin said about Marks book The Liberty Amendments, ‘let’s get it done.’

    Mark said that his first action for a potential amendment is #10 in chapter 9, page 147, ‘An Amendment to Grant the States Authority to Directly Amend the Constitution.’ 
    After the person asked Mark the question about which Mark considered the first objective, my immediate response, before Mark responded, was for the states to amend the constitution, THEN we can go after term limits for House and Senate and the SCOTUS and all the rest.

    A definite amendment for the states would be drafting clarifying language for Article 2 Section 1 Clause 5 to solidify the original intent of the original birthers that ‘natural born Citizen’ was a reference to ONLY being born on U.S. soil and ONLY with two (2) U.S. Citizen married parents who were U.S. Citizens BEFORE the child is born.

     Hey, if Clause 5 was important enough for the original authors to insert the words ‘natural born Citizen’ concerning POTUS eligibility, it is definitely STILL important enough to clarify the original intent of the original birthers who wrote the original words, right?

    Call or write you state legislature and the Governor of your State! Start getting them familiar with the Convention of States. Plug this in online and some sites that have started putting this together will give you more information!
