WATCH: Outraged ABC News reporter compares Trump to Putin, says N. Korea threat was bordering on a WAR CRIME

ABC News reporter and Chief Foreign Correspondent, Terry Moran, was outraged by a few things Trump said in his UN speech. During their analysis in the moments after the speech, Moran compared Trump to Putin and said his threat to totally destroy N. Korea was bordering on a war crime:

Terry Moran’s last name should really be MORON. (Yes I know that joke has probably been made a thousand times over, but that doesn’t make it less true!)

First, Trump’s threat to totally destroy North Korea was in the context of the US being forced defend itself or its allies. It wasn’t even close to a war crime threat. It was Trump telegraphing to the world that if we are forced to go to war with Kim Jong Un, then N. Korea as we know it today won’t exist any longer and that Kim Jong Un and his regime will be dead and gone. He wasn’t suggesting that he was going to kill a bunch of innocent civilians for the hell of it.

Secondly, Trump’s comment about member countries respecting their own people and the rights of other countries was not a call for Putin to go do harm to his people. To compare Trump to Putin just because of his call for world civility is absurd.

As we’ve pointed out before, the news media continues to overreach with these absurd overreactions to anything Trump. And the ironic thing is they don’t have to, as Trump has given them plenty of grounds on which to criticize him legitimately. But yet they insist on it, as if destroying is their new mission statement.
