WATCH: Sean Spicer SHREDS question on Special Prosecutor for Trump Russia connections

Sean Spicer was asked today for the White House’s response to the call for a special prosecutor to look into possible connections between the Trump campaign and Russia.

But Spicer was quick to ask why a Special Prosecutor would be needed and proceeded to shred the question altogether:

Spicer’s point is that the vague accusations being repeated over and over by the media have been looked into by the intelligence committee, the House and the Senate and nothing has come from it. He cited Devin Nunes, the House Select Committee on Intelligence, just today saying that he’s still seen no evidence of any connections between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

Spicer asked how many people have to say there’s nothing there before the media sees there’s nothing there.

Jon Karl didn’t pose much of a challenge to any of this.

Of course, this just after Bush 43 said this morning that questions about Trump and Russia need to be answered:

At the end of the day, if there is no evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia, this is a total non story. If evidence however comes to light, then it needs to be investigated.

But as of now it looks like all we have is a mostly media generated story running solely on alarmism and suspicion and no real evidence of anything.
