Ted Cruz was on Fox News a little while ago to discuss the Pompeo nomination, Trump’s handling of NAFTA, and the Mueller investigation.

The most interesting items in the video were really the portion on NAFTA and the Mueller investigation.
In regards to NAFTA, Cruz was asked about a Trump tweet that came out earlier today:
Mexico, whose laws on immigration are very tough, must stop people from going through Mexico and into the U.S. We may make this a condition of the new NAFTA Agreement. Our Country cannot accept what is happening! Also, we must get Wall funding fast.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 23, 2018
Specifically, Cruz was asked if he agreed with Trump making Mexico’s immigration enforcement of our border a condition of the NAFTA agreement. While Cruz didn’t answer with a solid yes or not, you can tell from his answer that he doesn’t feel that this should be the case.
He was also asked about the Mueller investigation, if Mueller was abusing his power. While Cruz admitted to having serious reservations about the team Mueller has put together, he wouldn’t go so far as to say Mueller is definitely abusing his power. He believes we should wait and see what Mueller does before making that claim. He does suggest, however, that Mueller should not go down the road of a partisan fishing expedition and noted that “the scope of what they are examining has little or nothing to do with Russia.”
