At a meeting with Sheriffs from around the country this morning, Trump took a question from the media on his executive order being tried in the courts:

Trump is somewhat incredulous that his immigration executive order even has to go through the courts. He points out that ISIS themselves said they would infiltrate countries through their migration and then rhetorically asks “and then we’re not allowed to be tough on the people coming in? Explain that one.”
Trump also said he’s prepared to take his executive order to the Supreme Court, but says he hopes it doesn’t have to go that far.
