Donald Trump berated the press today, even calling one reporter from ABC a sleazy reporter. Normally I’d be all about hitting back at the press for unfair coverage. But I think in this case Trump is trying to play the victim here when he is really at fault here.
Here’s his comments:
Trump says he’s not looking for credit, but that’s exactly what he’s doing every time he mentions how much he raised for veterans at that pre-Iowa fundraiser. In fact he’s looking for more than just credit, he’s looking for votes.
Trump has made this into a campaign spectacle himself, and then blasts the press for trying to find out the truth about this? C’mon. Stop playing games Trump.
Let me remind you of Trump’s response just this month to the Washington Post when they inquired about this:
Ugh. Trump just isn’t being fair about all of this.
Later in the press conference, he was asked about being so aggressive with the press:

Trump has lied so much during this campaign, that even I was doubting that he raised the 6 million he claimed. I don’t fault the press for this, I fault Trumpertantrum. Because that’s what all this is, one big Trumpertantrum over the fact that the press was trying to hold him accountable for his claims.
