Wendy Davis considers run for Texas Gov. just after accusing Perry of using abortion to ‘climb political ladder’

Wendy Davis told NBC News today that she’s considering a run for Texas Governor in 2014:

HUFFINGTON POST – Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) hinted Monday morning that she might be interested in running for governor.

After the senator’s 11-hour filibuster over abortion rights last week made her a national hero and an instant icon for women’s rights in Texas, speculation has been rampant over her next move. It could be a run for governor: Davis told NBC News Monday that she is taking a “second look” at the 2014 gubernatorial race.

Just yesterday Davis accused Perry of using the issue of abortion for political gain:

NY DAILY NEWS – Texas state senator and pro-abortion rights sensation Wendy Davis slammed her state’s leaders as opportunists eager to endanger women to further their own careers.

“Gov. (Rick) Perry and Lt. Gov. (David) Dewhurst are willing to … put women in harm’s way in order to step up on the political ladder,” she said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday morning.

Hello pot. Meet kettle.

Bring it on chic, you’ll be run out of the state.  I hope the AG Gregory Abbott runs or Perry runs again. Either will wipe the floor with her.

    • DarkKnight2016

Orangeone I hear both of them plan on running, which mean Texan will have to make a hard choice in the primary.
Attorney General Greg Abbott vs. Governor Rick Perry

DarkKnight2016 Orangeone Good for Greg Abbott!  I heard Perry wasn’t going to re-run.

  • Rshill7

That’s whatchacall hyper-hypocrisy. Main platform, killing babies who have been in the womb for more than 20 weeks. She ought add another plank to that. I know, how about the one in her eye?

    • Dukehoopsfan

Rshill7 I used to think that there were some reasonable democrats but I guess I was wrong.

God forbid someone actually be against killing babies…Now if you are against Abortion it’s to climb a political ladder?…Really? sounds to me this Blonde Bimbo just admitted PEOPLE DON’T WANT abortion clinics in their states killing babies..

  • LouisLaGuardiaIII

Senator Davis is proving herself to be a political whore. There is no way Texas would elect her.

    • Orangeone

LouisLaGuardiaIII It’s too bad so many women do this and hurt hard-working Constitution-loving American women.

  • Political Pugilist

The people of Texas were in favor of Perry’s bill. She is on the wrong side in Texas. I doubt promoter of infanticide can get elected as Governor of Texas. Makes me SICK when I see women promoting neonatal holocaust. We are the mothers who’ve experienced life alive within us, we of all people, should know how very precious and wonderful life is.

    Texas: SAFE R

But bad news for those of you in Pennsylvania with Gov. Tom Corbett (R)
    Pennsylvania: LEANS D

  • PoCoTex

So now we have an accessory to murder looking to run for political office.
    Surprise, surprise.
I am praying that the people of Texas continue to value humans more than the god of expediency and the god of self-centredness.

    • Orangeone

PoCoTex Depends on how many CA residents Perry has recruited.

    • stage9

PoCoTex liberalism, the ideology of murder.

  • Orangeone

Anyone know if she has to give up her current position to run for Governor?  That could get her out of the legislature period.

    • palintologist

Orangeone she’s being redistricted.  Her latest sideshow was just to get name recognition for the time she rears her political head again.

      • Orangeone

palintologist Orangeone That’s interesting! Hopefully redistricted into a more conservative district.

  • So I guess this makes this woman a WHORE!

Hey stupid, the one who is in harm’s way is the one who is the recipient of psychotic liberal policies!

  • Garathorn

Hey #Texas. The dems are putting her up as a cutie blonde progressive to take away Perry’s influence. Please don’t drink the koolaid. Obama’s ideology oozes from her pours. Resist! #teaparty

Here’s all you need to know about TX under a “Gov. Wendy.”

    • Conniption Fitz

      So so true.

    • badbadlibs

palintologist  If it were up to me, there would be bill boards nation wide with that depiction of the truth.
It’s so heart breaking. Watching the gallery as that monster posing as a woman was filibustering I was reminded of the Romans when they were watching children and women being eaten by lions or burned at the stake.
Different era, same hell bent sick minds.

    • doofuschmartz

palintologist Great website! loved the graphic….

  • Conniption Fitz

Wendy is projecting – casting her own actions and motives on Governor Perry.
The cult of death people truly cannot understand why Christians value human life and oppose abortion.

  • njmom

The Democrat Party is the US version of jihadists beheading the innocents.

    • badbadlibs

      njmom So true, so true!

  • Freedomswatch

If she runs I would crawl over broken glass to vote for her opponent.

  • kong1967

I have a better idea.  If there’s a heartless mother that wants to kill a baby in the second or third trimester, how about we shoot the mother and save the baby?

  • The Sentinel

Seems like Americans are lately faced with the choice of voting for tyranny and progressive ignorance… or the “other guy” (McLame, Romney). However, if it’s Perry or someone equally principled, this is an easy vote.
I hope she runs… and loses badly. America doesn’t embrace murder of innocents. And this witch presumes too much.

  • notebene

Ms. Davis just did a stellar projection of character on Gov. Perry.  Looks like the teenage “ho” is using the murder of the innocent to pave her way as a political “ho”…Odumbo would be proud!  For those who don’t think she could achieve her goal remember that we are now dealing with unethical people that will love to pull garbage and get her into the driver’s seat of that state!  If Texas goes blue that would be the final nail in the coffin for conservatives, so don’t underestimate the danger for Gov. Perry!

    • notebene

Remember the unethical voting that occurred in 2012…don’t think the progressives won’t pull it in Texas!

  • sDee

Our Constitution is being used as toilet paper by the Supreme Court. The Executive Branch and DOJ piss in our faces and tell us it s good for us.  Congress does nothing but pass more laws so they can stirp more rights and further enslave us with debt, regulations, colonists, and moral depravity.
A woman emerges as a leading candidate for Governor of Texas because she believe in killing the unborn.

    • PoCoTex

sDee  That’s sadly, but exactly, true, sDee.
As you read through the Tanakh (the Old Testament), you’ll read how God put consequences on the heads of the people of Israel, over and over again, for what their actions deserved.
The Tanakh records warning after warning after warning about people turning their backs to God. Our governments, our religious leaders, and our educators have almost all done so.

As much as it pains us, America is no exception to suffering the consequences of its actions.

  • Laurel A

    Perry will eviscerate her.

  • During her 11 hour filibuster did she really use a catheter to keep from having to use the restroom?

    • Kelly60

      Alex AZ yup

      • tinlizzieowner

        Kelly60 Alex AZ
Are the democrats going to feed her through an IV so she can run her mouth for 2 weeks?
        😉 😉

  • Laurel A
  • Conniption Fitz

She’s the darling of the Leftists – loves abortion, anytime.

    • PoCoTex

      Conniption Fitz  That’s interesting, CF.
I wonder what Ms. Davis would think if her mother told her that she had planned on aborting her?

  • Women in harms way? Such as putting them in the field in  the military? How about going silent on women’s rights in Arab lands? Then there’s the rights of unborn babies in wombs to which her and many like her seem to think haven’t any rights principally life, but have no hesitation to sticking a needle in the skull to inject poison to kill it.
Sure, fat chance bitch, you may want reexamine where your constituents live vs the rest of Texas. By all means, spend the money, the printers could use money.

  • tlvance

Never happen. She is just [email protected]##$#g in the wind.Sorry for the blank…..

  • clubgitmo

Another star in the liberal minds. Let’s see how many more babies we can kill.

  • doofuschmartz

Ok, I hate to sound like an idiot here, or get too far off topic, but I need to know if it’s even legal for Wendy Davis to have a catheter inserted to avoid having to go to the bathroom. Wouldn’t she need a physician’s to write an order for something like that (they had to have an order to put one in bot my mom and my dad when they were hospitalized), and doesn’t there have to be “a medically neccessary reason” for doing so. That’s what the doctor told my sister when she asked…Can someone with a little medical or nursing expertise clear this up please? I’m confused…

    • SheerPolitics

doofuschmartz  There is some possibility being floated that the dems may pack up and run as they have done before in order to avoid a vote. Which they’ve done before. THAT would be more criminal than using a catheter to complete a filibuster.

      • doofuschmartz

SheerPolitics doofuschmartz Oh…right. So…will Wendy re-insert the catheter so she doesn’t have to take any restroom breaks until she gets over the state line into…Louisiana? Arizona? Okla? Or…Mexico….

  • RReaganRepublic

That would the best thing she, Wendy Davis could ever do, to challenge Gov Perry in the Texas States Governor election, to have a Texas public electoral voting referendum on what she, Wendy Davis represents, the radical hard left- Then let’s see what and how she feels after being thoroughly trounced and beaten back to the anti-American, anti-Life, anti-Freedom and Liberty liberal fascist troglodyte sea where she came from.

    • SheerPolitics

RReaganRepublic   There’s some doubt that Perry is going to run again (maybe to prepare for a second run in 2016?) If he doesn’t run, Gregg Abbott is the leading contender for the republicans.

      • RReaganRepublic

SheerPolitics Thank you for the update  🙂

    • PoCoTex

RReaganRepublic  It’s interesting that you use the word “sea”.
In the Bible, the book of Revelation, John writes, “… and I saw a beast rise up out of the sea …”
John’s description of the beast sounds vaguely familiar, i.e., a totalitarian collective that dehumanizes people, making them expendable.
In the U.S., our babies in the womb are more than ever expendable since they are an “inconvenience”, a “burden” on us.
Wendy Davis also spoke at a Planned Parenthood gathering. Planned Parenthood has its roots in the Eugenics Movement of the late 19th and early 20th century, which wanted to “purify” the races, some of which they deemed expendable.

      “Anti-Life” indeed.

  • doofuschmartz

Every Democratic female who has ever aimed for High political offices have had to prostrate themselves before the goddess of infertility and sacrifice whatever morality and integrity they have for the promise of political power and recognition…no matter what the cost…
