West Point football coach being INVESTIGATED after team prayer was recorded on video

This is so ridiculous that I almost can’t even believe this is a story:

CBN NEWS – A West Point football coach is under fire for saying the name “Jesus” at the end of a postgame locker room prayer.

A video of coach Jeff Monken’s prayer at the U.S. military academy was posted online and sparked outrage. An anti-religion group, called the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, said the video violated the First Amendment right of some of the cadets.

“This was a clear violation of the First Amendment,” MRFF President Mikey Weinstein told the Washington Gadfly, saying that as a “state actor” the coach can not endorse any specific religion. “Leadership has confirmed to me he is going to apologize towards the team. ”

“As a result of this allegation, West Point officials are conducting an inquiry into the matter,” West Point spokesperson Lt. Col. Christopher Kasher said in a statement. “The video, which was posted on social media, was removed pending the inquiry.”

I am so tired of liberals in authority grossly distorting the first amendment of the Constitution to push an anti-Christian politically correct agenda. The first amendment couldn’t be clearer:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

It says Congress shall MAKE NO LAW. It doesn’t say the government or any of its entities can’t endorse a religion. It’s all about Congress infringing on religion. CONGRESS!

I hope this coach doesn’t apologize because there is really no need for it. As Walid Shoebat used to say, you have the right to be offended and I have the right not to give a damn. That pretty much sums up all constitutional rights here.
