In a CNN interview with James Boulware’s father, he says that it was because of “liberal” policies that his son attacked the Dallas police. James blamed police for Child Protective Services taking his son away after domestic violence charges.

Jim continues on to say that James’ life was destroyed by the charges, and after losing his home and child, he was driven to the breaking point. He says that he debated with James, defending the police and citing McKinney’s pool incident of an example of how police are necessary. James said that he preferred “anarchy.”
“Where does a white man get help? Jim sputtered out. I’m not sure such an interview so soon after losing his son was such a good idea.
