While we grouse and tut tut over Obama demeaning the office of the presidency by interviewing with a woman who bathed in cheerios and snorted a condom, our Anglosphere friends in Australia seem to be dealing with their own issues of political propriety. However, unlike Obama which cheapened his office simple to pander to idiots, Australian Senator David Leyonjhelm seems to have a much better reason for offending proper manners.
Apparently another Senator was upset that Leyonhjelm wasn’t respectful enough of “multiculturalism,” and sent this:
Aside from all the spelling and grammatical errors, Garry Burns’s statement is rather inflammatory itself, which is why Leyonhjelm responded thus:
Hehehe… I kinda wish American senators were as honest and forthcoming.

Australia has free speech codes, not a First Amendment like the United States. People can be prosecuted for offending others. It’s pretty disgusting and sad, but this exchange is a thing of beauty. Praise to Senator Leyonjhelm for his guts!
