Wife of former Granite Mountain Hotshots who died in wildfire now fighting city for denied benefits

Juliann Ashcraft is fighting the city of Prescott, Arizona, for benefits she said her deceased husband, Andrew, earned being a full-time employee of the fire department. Even the firefighter’s union agrees Andrew worked 40 hours a week year round. But the city is telling Juliann that her husband was not a full-time employee and therefore are denying her millions of dollars in benefits.

Left with four children to take care of, Juliann is considering a lawsuit.
