UPDATE: Just to reinforce the video, Jake Tapper writes that the lawsuit makes no charge that the Arizona law is discriminatory, but instead that it infringes on Federal Law:
The filing makes no assertion that the law is discriminatory or risks being applied in a discriminatory fashion, as the president and other officials said they feared would be the case. Interestingly, this suit makes no civil rights charges against the Arizona law.
This whole thing is really a waste of time. The law wouldn’t have to be implemented if the Feds were doing their job. I’ve written before that the real reason for this lawsuit is so that no one will enforce the laws, and of course to try and rile up the hispanic population into voting Democrat in November.
