Dana Bash helped out Democrats and establishment Republicans in their campaign against Ted Cruz by accusing him of starting another round of shutting down the government, which Ted Cruz said had a “ridiculous” premise.

But notice what Cruz does – instead of lingering on the GOP’s failures, he pivots towards attacking the Democrats’ culpability in the coming budget fight. Makes you wonder how much we could get done if the GOP were as unified against bad legislation as the Democrats are for it.
