Susan Rice was on MSNBC and told their head birdlady that whatever unmasking she did as national security advisor to Obama was never motivated by politics.

Rice explains why unmasking Americans in surveillance was part of her job and gives a theoretical example of someone offering to sell weapons – she said that it would be her job to unmask their name in order to investigate whether they were doing something illegal.
When asked about the Daily Caller reporting that she had put together a spreadsheet of Trump’s connections and whereabouts, she said, “Absolutely false, no spreadsheet, nothing of the sort.”
Andrea Mitchell seems upset when Rice says she didn’t know Manefort was an unregistered foreign agent for the Turkish government – that would mean that they had no clue about him, and probably weren’t investigating him.
She says that Trump’s claim that Obama was wiretapping Trump Tower is “absolutely false” and follows up by saying there is NO surveillance on Trump Tower, or even any Trump individual, that was directed by the White House. That’s pretty absolute.
But she admits that there could have been “incidental collection” of Trump teamsters. However, she says that her job wasn’t to request info, she was presented by information by the intelligence agencies. So basically, she’s saying if she saw anything collected incidentally about the Trump team, it was because the U.S. intelligence agencies believed there was some wrongdoing.
However, when Mitchell asks her if she’d be willing to testify before Congress, she DOESN’T ANSWER. Interesting…
And finally she says they need to get to the bottom of the Russian meddling into the election.
