Appeals court nominee and Notre Dame Law School Professor Amy Coney Barrett had her hearing today in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee today where she had to listen to multiple Democratic Senators question her faith.
In one instance Dianne Feinstein actually told Barrett that it was concerning that her Christian faith is so dear to her that it came through in her speeches:

Dick Durbin also brought up her faith as an issue against her confirmation (h/t: Daily Caller):
You’ll note in that clip that Barrett reaffirmed to Durbin that any judge’s personal convictions must not come into play when ruling on a case, that it would be unethical.
But they clearly don’t believe her because they keep challenging her on it.
What this is really about is protecting issues like abortion. These Democrats are totally fine with activist judges so long as they agree with them, but if they were to be activist on the other then that’s just no good.
But what’s worse is that Democrats have it so twisted that they can’t even reconcile that the law is actually closer to her Christian faith than it is to what they believe. If she were to rule in an abortion case in favor of protecting life, they’d call her an activist judge even though the law offers no such protections to women who murder their unborn babies.
I haven’t studied Barrett at all, but if these Democrats are all hot and bothered by the fact that she’s a pious Christian, then I think I’m going to like her.
