Mark Levin watched the meeting Trump had with the governors today and was, shall we say, completely unimpressed. Levin argues that once again Republicans are chasing phony issues, like the NRA, because the left keeps bringing them up.
Not once in that meeting, Levin says, did he ever hear any discussion on individual liberty, the bill of rights, or the reason for the 2nd amendment. Instead Trump keeps telling people not to worry about the NRA, as if they are even an issue. And everyone was talking about ‘mental illness’, which Levin suggests is so generic of a label that he doesn’t even know what it means.
Levin was on fire in his first segment and goes into far more detail in the clip below. It’s well worth listen.

Levin also rips Trump on his impending ban on bump stocks, wanting to know if Trump even understands that they can be handmade in someone’s basement in about 30 minutes.
I love it when Levin nails the issue like this. Unfortunately this is becoming too common of an occurrence, as Republicans keep allowing the debate to be had on Democratic Party terms instead of actually defending the constitution itself, like they should. It’s actually pretty depressing when you think about it.
