Mark Levin gave a fantastic talk yesterday on his radio show regarding the proposed increase of Steel and Aluminum tariffs and the effect it would have on our country and the world.

Levin makes a lot of great points in the above audio clip, but the one I wanted to highlight was how he says we end up actually helping China by raising our tariffs. In short, once the 25% tariffs have been levied, our own steel producers raise their prices roughly 20% and make out like a bandit, while this opens the door for other countries like CHINA to sell cheaper steel to Mexico and other allies.
In other words China, our enemy, wants us to raise steel tariffs because in the end it helps them undercut us globally. And we’ll be playing right into their hands if we do this.
