The NRA hast just elected a new president who is a retired US Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel.

Ollie North! I think the first time I heard that name was when I was a kid hearing about the Iran/Contra scandal in the Reagan administration.
I don’t know that he can fill Charleston Heston’s shoes, because those are really big shoes. But I’m sure he’ll be a great voice for the organization and do a fine job of defending the second amendment in an era where its under more attack than ever.
