President Donald Trump says he will announce his decision on the Iran nuclear deal on Tuesday.
In a tweet Monday, Trump says, “I will be announcing my decision on the Iran Deal tomorrow from the White House at 2:00pm.”
Trump faces a May 12 deadline over whether to uphold the 2015 nuclear deal, which he long has criticized.
Trump has signaled he will pull out of the agreement by May 12 unless it is revised, but he faces intense pressure from European allies not to do so.
That is true regarding the intense pressure. Over the weekend French President Macron suggested that withdrawing from the Iran deal could mean war:

Oh please. How is pulling out of this deal going to open Pandora’s box? Iran has already benefitted immensely from the deal, so the damage is already done. Ending it now is far less consequential than beginning it in the first place.
That said, I will be pretty disappointed if Trump doesn’t just end the deal once and for all. But I just can’t see him making that decision tomorrow, especially with Bolton on his team now.
