It was reported that the White House aide who joked about John McCain dying called Meghan McCain to apologize, but it sounds like it didn’t clear the air between the two.
That’s because Meghan went on “The View” to rip into her some more:
“I don’t understand what kind of environment you’re working in when that would be acceptable and then you can come to work the next day and still have a job,” McCain said on “The View” Friday.
And…
“Kelly, here’s a little news flash … We’re all dying. I’m dying, you’re dying, we’re all dying. And I want to say since my dad has been diagnosed … I really feel like I understand the meaning of life, and it is not how you die, it’s how you live,” she said.
She added, “Don’t feel bad for me or my family. We’re really strong.”
It doesn’t help that the White House had no comment on the interaction today. I think firing her might be too strong, but it would have helped to have Trump at least say that kind of thing isn’t allowed in the White House. But given how insane the election was, I doubt anyone actually expects that.
