Trump blasts the ‘globalist’ Koch brothers and here’s what he’s had to say about them in the past!

Trump blasted the ‘globalist’ Koch brothers this morning, calling them a ‘total joke’ in real Republican circles. He says they are against strong borders and ‘powerful trade’:

I’ve never liked how Trump uses his bully pulpit as president to attack people and/or companies. Whether he agrees with them or not, he shouldn’t lower the Office of the President to insulting people. But he does and we’ve all seen it a million times.

And if you look at this history with the Koch Brothers, one thing you can say about Trump is that he is being somewhat consistent:





Wait, I thought Trump believed in meeting with the enemy! Well that was during the election, so…

So it’s clear he’s never really been huge fans of the Koch Brothers. But even so, he really sullies the office he sits in when he tweets out this kind of crap.

By the way, don’t take this as a defense of the Koch brothers. Trump may not be entirely wrong about them, especially when it comes to immigration. However I suspect they don’t like his trade policies and, assuming these high tariffs continue indefinitely, I’d gladly join them there.
