It’s amazing that the media doesn’t know why people hate them. Take CNBC’s John Harwood, for example. He is treated like a legitimate journalist and respected member of the media, and is CNBC’s Chief Washington Correspondent. People know he’s biased, but he’s not treated like an opinion host by his colleagues. Instead he’s held out as a journalist and correspondent.
Except he’s the guy who emailed John Podesta to ask him for juicy debate questions to attack Jeb with. He also blew it moderating those debates in one of the most partisan performances in debate history. Harwood blamed “white fear” for midterm losses under Obama, and has questioned the mental health state of Trump more than once.
And he’s been raving on Twitter all week. But the media can’t understand why people don’t like them. It’s darn near inconceivable.
But it would take a week to post all his leftwing nutjob hack tweets from the week. So let’s just have a sample.
no one less like Abraham Lincoln https://t.co/xkEjpOdBmb

“Ryan called the attacks anti-Semitic, said the nation ’will not tolerate this bigotry.’ Yet Ryan’s own Super PAC has been accused of airing campaign ads that have targeted Democrats in racially coded language” https://t.co/TCPCWKu4Uh

we just suffered terrorist attack by Trump fanatic and mass murder by anti-Semitic white supremacist 1/2

Trump/GOP on defensive over incendiary rhetoric appealing to people like Sayoc and Bowers
so #2 Senate GOP leader sends story on week-old Pelosi “collateral damage” comments https://t.co/RiNm6zjPxD
from Newsmax report on Pelosi’s words: " ‘Collateral damage’ refers to civilians who suffer serious injuries, even death as result of military conflict”
— John Harwood (@JohnJHarwood) October 28, 2018
Pelosi used those words at end of riff on climate change
that’s what asymmetric polarization is
2 parties are not alike 2/2
Pelosi’s comments came in a normal conversation about policy issues w/@paulkrugman in NYC
— John Harwood (@JohnJHarwood) October 28, 2018
they were circulated on right-wing media sites - Breitbart, The Blaze, Newsmax - which used them to depict her an “unhinged” and suggesting physical violence, w/deranged looking photo
and here’s a real doozy:
this morning @JohnCornyn piggybacked on Breitbart and the others to leave GOP voters with the impression that Pelosi incites supporters in the same way Trump does - “both sides”
— John Harwood (@JohnJHarwood) October 28, 2018
but it’s not true
Y’all, that’s just the last six hours or so.
And he retweeted two of his own tweets from yesterday:
Maxine Waters, who Trump and Fox like to highlight/mock/target as scary/unattractive/“low IQ” black woman because they think their white voters/viewers will respond to that https://t.co/KGxcPbBnAG
— John Harwood (@JohnJHarwood) October 27, 2018
this appeal to racist sentiment is why Trump and others in right-wing ecosystem questioned Obama’s birthplace, demanded his college transcripts, and made transparently absurd arguments that he couldn’t speak effectively without a Teleprompter
— John Harwood (@JohnJHarwood) October 27, 2018
Dude he REALLY can’t stop trying to deify Pelosi.
also, everyone across the political spectrum should not falsely suggest that words about climate change policy have anything to do w/violence when they quite obviously don’t. that’s lying. https://t.co/7czwj5wRRe
— John Harwood (@JohnJHarwood) October 28, 2018
And I’ll top y’all off with this one. Don’t want to gag you with too much bile.

here’s how Newsmax characterized Pelosi’s words
“people who merely disagree w/their socialist agenda may become expendable. ‘Collateral damage’ refers to civilians who suffer serious injuries, even death”
she was discussing climate policy https://t.co/RiNm6zjPxD
And if you think that’s something, check out all his retweets. And he’s still going.
This is not someone other journalists treat like an opinion host, like Sean Hannity (who Harwood trashes all the time) or Tucker Carlson (who Harwood trashes all the time) but is instead a Chief Correspondent and regularly sought for his insights and news input.
And they wonder why they are called fake news?
Next rally I suggest chanting CNBC sucks. It does. It’s just a factual statement. You might call that chant simply news.
