Mark Levin scorches Romney after op-ed blasting Trump

In a new post on Facebook, Mark Levin released a brief comment scorching Mitt Romney for his New Year’s day attack on Trump:

It’s clear Romney will be a destructive force in the Senate, playing to the liberal media which will praise him & seeking to create a pathway to the presidency. But one thing Romney will never be called is president. Sadly, he has revealed himself as an unprincipled, self-serving opportunist.

Dang.

Look, there’s no denying that some of what Romney said is true. But for him to make his entrance this way into his new job as Senator of Utah, giving a full-throated attack of Trump that he knows the anti-Trump media will love to use against Trump – especially during a government shutdown – well it doesn’t get much more slimy than that.

He’s clearly setting the tone for him to oppose Trump going forward, perhaps as a presidential contender. But as Levin says, he’ll never be able to ride this to the presidency because people still see a duplicitous Mitt Romney, just as they always have:
