Pelosi gets three Republicans as she DEFEATS Ocasio-Cortez PAYGO rebellion

We told you this morning that the Democrat’s newest and favorite socialist in the House, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, was going to oppose Pelosi on her PAYGO rule.

Well she did, and got defeated pretty handily:

FOX NEWS – Overcoming a defiant last-minute challenge from the party’s progressive wing, House Democrats on Thursday approved most of a sweeping new rules package that effectively places restrictions on some new spending, incorporates ethics reforms and dramatically shakes up several key voting procedures and committees.

Although planned portions of the rules relating to the House’s handling of ObamaCare were tabled for the future, the 234-197 vote marked a decisive defeat of New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s opposition to the measure.

Ocasio-Cortez joined Ro Khanna, but apparently couldn’t get much support from other Democrats.

A generic party line vote in the House would be 235-199, with Democrats in the majority. The reason it was 234-197 was because three Republicans voted with Pelosi and Democrats:

Three Republicans supported the Democrats’ rules, including Pennsylvania Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, and New York Reps. John Katko and Tom Reed.

Pennsylvania and New York. Figures.
