People are very impressed with how Jake Tapper grilled Rudy Giuliani this morning on the claim that Trump asked Michael Cohen to lie under oath to Congress.
His answer was no, it didn’t happen, but if he did talk to him, SO WHAT!?!
Watch below:
The whole thing is worth watching, it’s very interesting. What it comes down to is that Giuliani is directly denying that Trump asked Cohen to lie, but he is admitting that the president could have talked to him about his congressional testimony, AND he says Cohen is lying about it.
Very interesting.
Giuliani tells Tapper, “As far as I know, President Trump did not have discussions with [Cohen], certainly had no discussions with him in which he told him or counseled him to lie.” Then says it’s possible Trump discussed his testimony with him, “which would be perfectly normal.” pic.twitter.com/96jU6HCND0

TAPPER: "You just acknowledged that President Trump might have talked to [Cohen] about his testimony."

GIULIANI: "And so what if he talked to him about it?"
But, as always, if you don’t have evidence of something, it doesn’t matter what you think, it matters what you can prove.
