Via Fox 5:

Police are investigating a deadly shooting in DeKalb County Tuesday morning.

It happened at a Family Dollar store in the 7000 block of Covington Highway. At least three customers and two employees were inside at the time.

According to police, a customer at the store shot and killed a robber during a hold-up.

Police say the unidentified suspect had a gun pointed at the cashier. When the customer heard what was happening and saw the commotion, he pulled out his own weapon and opened fire.

The customer will not be charged in the shooting, police said. They are currently examining security footage and interviewing witnesses.

No one else was injured in the shooting

This is why concealed carry matters! If it weren’t for this customer, who knows what the perp would have done. He might have left without firing a shot, or he might have killed the cashier which happens all the time.

This customer saved the cashier’s life.

In the video above, the reporter said she’s told there is store video. But I don’t think it’s been released yet.
