Brit Hume was clearly impressed with Trump State of the Union Address tonight, saying that Trump did himself about as much good as he possibly could have tonight with the address:

Hume said he’s covered about 43 of these SOTUs and most are not memorable, but this one from Trump was among the most memorable that he’s heard.
He also noted that Trump did a great job of laying out his accomplishments, saying that when you hear them lined up and recited that way, “they are rather impressive.”
Hume suggested the speech seemed as though it was written to make it as difficult as possible for his opponents not to applaud him. An example of that was when Trump said that we will never be a socialist country and both Pelosi and Schumer stood up and cheered.
