HUH? White reporters NOT ALLOWED at black Georgia election event today!

I have to be honest. When I first saw this headline hours ago, I didn’t even bother clicking it because I didn’t believe it. I thought the ‘black press only’ headline was just someone trying to get me to click.

Well it turns out it’s absolutely true. White journalists were actually banned from a black political event today in Georgia where the sign literally said “Black Press only!”

Organizers of a meeting to discuss an upcoming mayoral race in Georgia barred reporters from attending — unless they were African-American.

The Wednesday meeting at a church in Savannah was held to try to unite the city’s black community behind a single candidate for mayor in the Nov. 5 election. Signs at the door said “Black Press Only!”

White reporters were denied entry, while at least two black reporters and the publisher of a local African-American newspaper were allowed inside, the Savannah Morning News reported . Television cameras and recording devices were also prohibited.

The newspaper said the Rev. Clarence Teddy Williams, who organized the meeting, declined to discuss the entry policy.

How does this even happen? I thought racism was the worst evil this country had ever known!

Just a few weeks ago in Alabama there was some newspaper editor calling for the KKK to rise up again. That was universally condemned and that editor fired.

But now we have black pastor in Georgia banning white people from a black political event and so far I haven’t seen a peep about it on the news. I am glad that the AP covered the story though. But so far not many others have picked it up.

If this had been a white political event banning black reporters, I feel sure the media would have been all over this story, throwing out terms like white supremacy and slavery.

So can we then call this black supremacy? Is that even a thing?
