2020 candidate Cory Booker wants to make it even more difficult for people to own firearms because he’s “sick and tired of hearing thoughts and prayers”:
FOX NEWS – Presidential candidate Sen. Cory Booker is calling for all gun owners to obtain federal firearms licenses.
The national licensing proposal is one of 16 that the Democrat from New Jersey unveiled on Monday in what his campaign touted as the “most sweeping gun violence prevention plan ever put forth by a presidential candidate.”
Booker argued that just as a driver’s license demonstrates a person’s eligibility and proficiency to drive a car, “a gun license demonstrates that a person is eligible and can meet certain safety and training standards necessary to own a gun.”
“I am sick and tired of hearing thoughts and prayers for the communities that have been shattered by gun violence — it is time for bold action,” Booker said in a statement.
Federal licenses? We all know that once the feds get their grubby hands on gun licensing, they will use that process to make it incredibly difficult to own a gun. The process itself would be a barrier, but they just wouldn’t stop there. Which is why the NRA is more important now than ever.
Booker quoted scripture on CBS This Morning, saying “faith without works is dead” in order to justify his new push to make gun ownership much more difficult:
“This is not some policy issue out there. This is an everyday experience… This is not a ‘thoughts and prayers.’ Faith without works is dead. I’m going to bring a fight to this issue in a comprehensive manner that the NRA has never seen before.” — Sen. @CoryBooker pic.twitter.com/axPpvTU6Dp

Booker’s plan also calls for “universal background checks for gun buyers; the reinstitution of a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity firearm magazines; and the modernization of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.”
