This is what passes for a balanced debate on MSNBC – two libs (host Cenk Uygur and WaPo’s Ezra Klein) plus one more lib for good measure (Jared Bernstein, former Chief Economic Advisor to Joe Biden). Tonight the three of them discussed the ongoing budget talks taking place right now between the Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill.
Check out Uygur’s reaction when Ezra Klein (of all people) suggests that lowering tax rates might actually make some sense. Forget anything else Klein may have gone on to say – that was all Uygur needed to hear. Does this guy sound interested in an honest debate on taxes or deficits? Just imagine if he had a conservative on for this segment – we might have actually seen smoke come out of his ears.
