Who won last night’s debate? Here’s what one big poll says…

Last night many of you watched an interesting first democratic debate that certainly had it’s more entertaining moments. Not being a Democrat I really don’t know who won, because they were all pretty terrible to me. But there’s one big poll that does give us a winner:

THE HILL – The conservative Drudge Report’s instant poll shows Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) as the biggest winner of the first night of the Democratic presidential debates, with nearly 45 percent of the vote just after 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

The unscientific online poll shows Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) at a distant second with 11.2 percent, followed by Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.) at 8.6 percent and New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio with 7 percent.

At the bottom of the poll are former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) and Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) with less than 4 percent of the vote.

Ok I would not have predicted that Gabbard had won the debate. She did ok but didn’t really stand out to me, other than that exchange she had with Tim Ryan.

Oddly enough, if there was one person I thought who did himself some good it was Bill de Blasio. He knew he had to force his way into the debate arguments and did so with a lot of confidence. Jay Inslee left a similar mark as well. But they were all crazy and I was so glad to see Cory Booker at the bottom of the poll. The very bottom.

While this poll by Drudge is definitely not scientific, it may also not reflect well what the liberal world thinks of last night’s debate since it’s a ‘right-wing’ website. It really depends on how many came over just to vote and how many tried to rig the poll. I will note, though, that according to Google, Gabbard was the most searched candidate after the debate. So perhaps this drudge poll is more right than it would seem…
