Last night we told you about Trump mocking a heckler for being fat. Well it turns out the ‘heckler’ Trump mocked was actually not one of the hecklers, but rather a Trump supporter who was trying to take their signs away to shut them up.
Skip to 3:53 to see an interview with him:
Clearly Frank Dawson is a great sport who loves Trump.
It was reported earlier today that Trump called the Dawson and apologized to him…
President Trump called and left a voicemail apologizing to the man he mocked as overweight, a White House official says. He confused him for a protester last night in New Hampshire. “That guy’s got a serious weight problem,” Trump said. “Go home. Start exercising.”

But the White House official quickly came back and said Trump didn’t actually apologize during the call:
Correction: Trump did not apologize, a White House official tells me. He phoned the supporter, left him a message thanking him for his support, but did not use the words "sorry" or "apologize." https://t.co/0G32RSHI1G

An interesting clarification, heh. But at least he called Dawson, which was a very cool thing to do.
