It looks like Trump’s threat of a defamation lawsuit against NBC has gotten their attention, with O’Donnell now admitting he made an ‘error in judgement’ last night:
Last night I made an error in judgment by reporting an item about the president’s finances that didn’t go through our rigorous verification and standards process. I shouldn’t have reported it and I was wrong to discuss it on the air. I will address the issue on my show tonight.

It’s not really much of an apology but it is, at the very least, an admission of wrongdoing.
I guess that’s something.
Lawrence says he’ll address it on his show tonight, but I don’t expect he’ll spend much time on it. And I’m pretty sure he’s not going to apologize for making a ridiculously unverified claim. If he does spend any time on it at all, he’ll probably spin it into an anti-Trump segment.
