Trump is again going after Adam Schiff for his flagrant mischaracterization of Trump’s Ukraine phone call last week in the DNI hearing:
Why isn’t Congressman Adam Schiff being brought up on charges for fraudulently making up a statement and reading it to Congress as if this statement, which was very dishonest and bad for me, was directly made by the President of the United States? This should never be allowed!

Yesterday Trump suggested that Schiff’s mischaracterization of his Ukraine phone call was treason and today he’s suggesting it’s criminal. It’s neither.
It was, however, very dishonest and was Schiff’s attempt to misinform the American people who were tuning in to the hearing.
I get that Trump is frustrated by the double standard in the media, which we all know would have never allowed this fraud to go unchallenged if the shoe was on the other foot – i.e. if the president were Obama and the chair had been any given Republican. In fact if a Republican had mischaracterized a phone call from Obama like this, the media would have pummeled them so hard they would have had to apologize by now.
But that’s no reason to accuse Schiff of treason or criminal activity. And I think it hurts Trump’s case a little because it just gives people a reason to dismiss his complaint as inaccurate and hyperbolic.
