A black student asked Bernie Sanders what advice he would give him if he were his son, in regards to getting pulled over by police:
HBCU Student asks @BernieSanders, “If I were your son, what advice would you give to me the next time I’m pulled over by a police officer”?
Bernie: “Identify who the police officer is – and I would respect what they are doing so that you don’t get shot in the back of the head”. pic.twitter.com/Ks5VKxQrOC

Bernie told the student that he should respect the police officer so that he doesn’t get shot in the back of the head.
As if police officers just go around shooting people in the back of the head. I know it’s happened – even recently. But Bernie would have you believe that police officers are some rogue force looking for any excuse to shoot people in the back of the head.
He goes on to argue that police officers need to be held accountable for their actions. But they are held accountable. There are whole divisions within most police departments that investigate and hold officers accountable for misconduct if necessary.
I’m getting sick of this anti-ICE, anti-COP message from Democrats. Police officers put their lives on the line every day in order to keep us safe. They know when they leave home for work there’s a chance they might not come back, and yet they are willing to do it for the greater good. And it’s about damn time that Democrats stop with their caustic “police are the enemy” message and start telling people to respect police officers because they deserve our respect, not because they’ll shoot us in the back of the head.
