Ted Cruz was on Fox and Friends this morning to discuss the House impeaching Trump last night and Pelosi’s refusal to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate:
Cruz said that Democrats are “in a total panic”, noting that Pelosi’s threat to the Senate amounts to her saying “do exactly what I want or I’m not going to impeach the president. I’m not going to send over the impeachment articles.”
Cruz responds to that by saying “Okay, throw us in that briar patch. Don’t send them, that’s alright. We actually have work to do…” He then suggests she wait to deliver them until November 2, 2020, which is the day before election day.
As they were discussing this, Trump tweeted out this which was read on the air:
I got Impeached last night without one Republican vote being cast with the Do Nothing Dems on their continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt in American history. Now the Do Nothing Party want to Do Nothing with the Articles & not deliver them to the Senate, but it’s Senate’s call!
