This morning everyone in the media is touting the fundraising amounts of the top 2020 Democratic candidates in the 4th quarter. It goes something like this:
- Bernie Sanders: $34.5 million
- Pete Buttigieg: $24.7 million
- Elizabeth Warren: $17 million
- Andrew Yang: $16.5 million
- Joe Biden: $15 million
While Joe Biden is still the frontrunner, he lags far behind in fundraising.
But the thing you may not have heard yet this morning is that they ALL lag far behind Trump in fundraising:
CBS NEWS – President Trump’s reelection campaign raked in $46 million in the fourth quarter of 2019 in support of the president’s bid for a second term, the Trump campaign announced Thursday.
The haul for the final months of the year marks the best fundraising quarter of the 2020 election cycle for the president’s reelection campaign, according to the Trump campaign, and eclipses fourth-quarter fundraising totals reported so far by his Democratic competitors…
The Trump campaign raised $143 million total in 2019 and closed out the year with $102.7 million in cash-on-hand. The $46 million brought in for the last three months of the year represent donations made only to the campaign and does not include money raised by the Republican National Committee or other joint fundraising committees, the campaign said.
This incredible fourth quarter haul by the Trump campaign came at a time when Democrats were trying to destroy him with the phony impeachment, which still isn’t over. You’d think just based on these fundraising numbers that Democrats would get the message that they are only helping him. But they hate him so much they just aren’t listening. And it isn’t just the fundraising. Many polls versus 2020 Democrats have flipped in Trump’s favor in battleground states. So yeah, go ahead with another impeachment Nancy. Let’s see how far ahead you can push Trump before the general even starts.
