While media pundits and activists are determined to blame the Australian wildfires on Climate Change, it’s now being reported that dozens have already been charged with arson and many more arrested on fire-related charges:
CBN NEWS – Concerns are mounting in Australia that three of the devastating wildfires in the states of New South Wales and Victoria could soon merge, creating an epic “mega-blaze”. But that’s not even the most shocking concern facing Aussies at the moment.
Now there’s news that the wildfires may have been caused intentionally. The Daily Mail reports that more than 180 people have been arrested on fire-related charges.
At least 24 of those people have been charged with arson, accused of deliberately starting the blazes that have killed 26 people and millions of animals. The arson possibility is causing some Aussie politicians to argue that those who blame climate change for the fires are just plain wrong.
The Daily Mail reports on a few more details of these arrests:
Of the 183, 24 people have been charged for allegedly starting bushfires, another 53 people allegedly failed to comply with a total fire ban, and 47 people allegedly discarded cigarettes on dry land.
You might be thinking that all these arrests must encompass a long amount of time, but that’s not the case. They have all been arrested within the last two months:
Since Friday 8 November 2019, legal action – which ranges from cautions through to criminal charges – has been taken against 183 people – including 40 juveniles – for 205 bushfire-related offences.
But hey, it must be Climate Change because Piers Morgan, Russell Crowe and Jennifer Aniston all say so.
