Senator Manchin makes it sound like he’ll vote to acquit Trump on Wednesday, but is now calling for the Senate to censure Trump:
Just reported on @MSNBC: Sen. Joe Manchin, on the Senate floor moments ago, has called for a censure vote of President Trump for his conduct with Ukraine.

Manchin: "I see no path to the 67 votes required to impeach President Trump and haven't since this trial started. However, I do believe a bipartisan majority of this body would vote to censure President Trump for his actions in this matter."

While we do have some RINOs who would probably go for that idea, Republicans are apparently shooting the proposal down:
Sen. Joe Manchin proposes censure as an option for the Senate to take against Trump.
Every Republican I spoke to summarily shot down that idea today.
"Too late. It's too late," Sen. Roy Blunt said.

Kerpen agrees this is “way too late”:
Way too late. Dems had leverage for censure pre-impeachment https://t.co/tC15WiPK9G

Even this Politico reporter doesn’t foresee this as having any chance of going forward:
/6 Manchin goes full Feinstein and pushes a censure resolution. And like Feinstein's censure resolution in 1999, this won't go anywhere

So unless something changes, this is probably dead on arrival. But we’ll let you know if this turns into something…
