There are more new polls out today that shows Bernie Sanders surging around the country, which must be causing a lot of anxiety in Democrat establishment circles.
First up, California:
New California Poll via LA Times
Sanders is surging and has taken on a commanding lead.
Bernie Sanders: 34%
Elizabeth Warren: 17%
Mike Bloomberg: 12%
Pete Buttigieg: 11%
Joe Biden: 8%
Amy Klobuchar: 6%https://t.co/Jhmpe2cLjv— Yashar Ali 🐘 (@yashar) February 28, 2020
This poll was done by Berkeley IGS in conjunction with the LA Times. The last Berkeley IGS poll for California was a little over a month ago and Bernie was only at +6 points. Now he’s at +17.
Next we have a new national poll by Fox News:
New national Fox News poll:
Sanders 31%
Biden 18%
Bloomberg 16%
Buttigieg 12%
Warren 10%
Klobuchar 5%
Steyer 2%
Gabbard 1%— Ryan Struyk (@ryanstruyk) February 28, 2020
The last time Fox News did a national poll was last month and Biden was up +3. Now Bernie is +13.
Here’s a quick screenshot of other recent national polls showing similar results:
There are other recent Super Tuesday state polls that show Bernie up +9 in Utah, +12 in Colorado, and between +2 and +8 in Massachusetts, which must be a slap in the face to Warren. Even in my home state of North Carolina Bernie is neck and neck with Biden. In other Super Tuesday states, if Bernie isn’t in first he’s in second. It’s really looking like Bernie is going to do very well on Super Tuesday.
As far as the South Carolina primary tomorrow night the polls are all over the place, but the consensus seems to be that Biden will be able to get a win. How big his margin will be is up in the air:
