Reporters from AL.com last night were attacked in Birmingham while doing a live report on-air:
While broadcasting live on social media tonight, several members of our team were attacked while covering Birmingham protests as they turned violent.

After showing images of protesters trying unsuccessfully to tear down a confederate monument, a female AL.com reporter says they are getting attacked while doing a live shot.
Next you see a couple of black men in a medical mask throwing punches at a white man, presumably part of her crew. The reporter literally starts yelling for help as the man falls to the ground and continues to get attacked.
The video then cuts to another member from AL.com get hit over the head with a bottle, leading the reporter to yell out ‘shit’ on air, before apologizing for it.
What a horrible scene.
