WATCH: Dan Bongino gives profound statement against defunding police at House hearing

In a House hearing today, Dan Bongino gave a profound statement reminding us of the value of our heroes in blue and how defunding police departments around the country would be disastrous.

Watch;

Bongino starts by telling of a fellow police officer friend who, while off duty, assisted a driver who needed help on the side of the road. He ended up in the hospital with devastating injuries.

He also reminds us that it was police officers in New York, among other heroic first responders, who ran into the twin towers on 9/11 when everyone else was evacuating, putting their lives last in order to save others.

Bongino also explains how he hears, multiple times every year, of someone that he knew or worked with in the police force being killed in the line of duty. He asks people to imagine just how that might feel if they had to deal with that in their line of work.

He ended by saying “I ask you please, with the greatest of respect and humility, please stop this defund the police abomination before someone gets hurt.”

His comments moved me quite a bit, and it reminds me of why I supported him when he ran for office years ago. Bongino would have made a great congressman. Total class act.
