REVOLT: Starbucks bans employees from wearing Black Lives Matter pins and it is not going well for them on social media…

Yesterday Buzzfeed got their hands on a memo from Starbucks management that forbade the wearing of Black Lives Matter pins by employees, worried that it would create more divisiness:

DC EXAMINER – Starbucks sent a memo to store managers warning them that employees are not allowed to wear Black Lives Matter pins or clothing because it could stoke division or even incite violence.

The coffee giant notified store managers that Black Lives Matter materials are included in the “political, religious, or personal issue” topics that employees are barred from sporting during work, according to the memo that was obtained by Buzzfeed. The company’s vice president of diversity and inclusion, Zing Shaw, said promoting Black Lives Matter could cause problems.

“[Shaw] explains that there are agitators who misconstrue the fundamental principles of the Black Lives Matter movement — and in certain circumstances, intentionally repurpose them to amplify divisiveness,” the memo said, referencing a video that Shaw linked to in the email to store managers.

Part of the problem is that during Pride Month, Starbucks encourages their employees to express themselves.

It also looks hypocritical to people who say on the one hand the organization claims to support Black Lives Matter, but won’t allow their employees to don a pin supporting the organization. And they are revolting:

This is just a small sampling. You can fully expect before the week is out that Starbucks will cave to the mob and apologize for their ‘mistake’. I guarantee it.
