[UPDATE: Trump can still rescind DACA?] – Supreme Court rules against Trump, upholds DACA

The Supreme Court has just ruled against the Trump administration’s attempt to rescind DACA:

 
Chief John Roberts once again joins the liberals on the court in the 5-4 decision:

 
Good grief. It was an executive order for crying out loud, not a federal law passed by Congress. And it’s unconstitutional. But Roberts and his liberal associate justices ruled that the Trump administration violated the Administrative Procedure Act when it tried to rescind DACA:

UPDATE: Here’s more on the decision from Gabriel Malor:

If Malor is right it means that Trump can technically still rescind DACA. My guess, however, is that he won’t given that it’s an election year.
