Obama had barely been sworn into office before he blew close to one trillion dollars on the “largest new investment in America’s infrastructure since President Eisenhower built the Interstate Highway System” – a.k.a. the “stimulus” package. The massive outlay was supposed to have created some 3.5 million jobs by now. We all know how that one worked out.
Well, at least we got state-of-the-art roads and bridges out of the deal, if not economic stimulus. What? We didn’t even get that? I guess we must not have, if Obama says we still need to “invest” more in infrastructure. He must be joking.
What did we do with all that stimulus money, anyway?
Apparently, this is just Phase One or something of Obama’s new jobs plan. Can’t wait to hear what else he’s got hidden up his sleeve.
