Those old CNN harpies are getting at it again. The two specific harpies this time are the painfully ridiculous John Berman and Alisyn Camerota, who are relegated to the morning show because they can’t hack it during the real news hours.
Still, they were no doubt joined in spirit by their fellow caterwaulers like Fake Tapper and the Fat, Dumb, and Bald Guy. Today, the whingeing was about how trying to count all the votes is ruining their big moment and personal pride at having carried Joe Biden to victory on behalf of Democrats. Which is what CNN did.
“This should be a proud moment in U.S. history,” said DNC propagandist and non-journalist Camerota on Friday. “This should be a moment of national pride. But President Trump is stealing that moment of national pride for us, that we did something so well, because he’s tainting it.”
“Your thoughts?” she fake-asked Washington Post reporter Toluse Olorunnipa, who didn’t complain about the loaded, pre-framed question.
“Yeah, tens of thousands of Americans worked incredibly hard to make this election free and fair in the middle of a pandemic. The biggest challenge for election officials and generations. And they rose to the task, all the way from the national level, including our national security officials, who had to fight against foreign interference and foreign attempts to intervene and change the votes of Americans. They worked hard,” Olorunnipa replied on the same network that has nothing but doubt and reputation-tarnishing for the fine Pfizer folks who are actually DOING something about the pandemic.
Berman added his own harpie harping by saying “Whether this is a coup, as you say, or a con. Survey says?” to the always-terrible Susan Glasser, who, y’all, I seriously can’t believe they try and pass off as a “journalist.”
“Well, modestly reassuringly, I would say, more con than coup, but terrible, terrible for our democracy. That’s the bottom line, John,” she said inarticulately.
Dang, they really want to make sure that counting every vote is taken as pure evil. Which sounds about right coming from the network that thinks Americans are so dumb they shouldn’t even get to HEAR the words Trump says.
Camerota did the same “could be a moment of huge national pride” routine with guest David Alexrod on Friday too. She was really beating this one throughout the show.
