That scam in Georgia telling people that voting for Democrats would get them a $2,000 check which actually turned out to be only a $1400 dollar check isn’t coming in any kind of “emergency” fast track. IF it even comes AT ALL.
That’s right. CNN, trying to soften the blow for Biden, says that even though just this morning they were bragging about their stimulus plan and their “vote-a-rama” or whatever, fooled Americans should brace for more bad news:
Congress is negotiating a fresh stimulus package that would include a third round of stimulus checks, but while there’s broad agreement on the need for more direct payments, it will take weeks before any go out.
Weeks AND weeks and WEEKS, actually.
It takes at least several days to get the first payments processed after any legislation is signed, and has taken months to deliver payments to everyone who’s eligible. Treasury is still trying to reach some people who should have gotten paid in the first round last year.
And guess what’s going to delay it further? This is so rich I cain’t hardly stand it.
The upcoming second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump will push back any congressional action, and lawmakers are scheduled to be on recess over President’s Day — meaning there may not be progress on a deal until later in the month.

Great job Georgia voters. Real smart work down there. Hope the Republicans who stayed home because they were pouting about November are happy with what they’re getting.
