According to a new poll, public confidence in the Johnson and Johnson vaccine has cratered after Biden’s CDC called for a pause over 6 cases of blood clots out of 7 million:
The CDC recommendation to pause Johnson & Johnson vaccine use causes public confidence in the vaccine to sink 15pts

Public confidence levels for J&J vaccine are now as low as they are for the AstraZeneca vaccine, which has also had problems:

I wish they’d polled them all because I suspect that overall public confidence in all of the vaccines has also gone down. These vaccines were developed very quickly and because of this, many people are already hesitant to take the vaccine. Finding potential issues with two vaccines, one of which is being used in the US, can’t be very inspiring.

This is a PR failure by the CDC and Biden Administration.
Absolute failure. https://t.co/Xf0CQMAKda

Feels like this is what it looks like when your entity understands diseases very well, but doesn't understand humans at all. https://t.co/u6ZSzKrl3W

Speaking of COVID, here’s something interesting from the Texas Tribune yesterday:
More than a month has passed since Gov. Greg Abbott ended virtually all statewide restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic. Nationwide, new coronavirus cases are on the rise as new variants of the virus spread. And about four-fifths of Texans are not yet fully vaccinated.
But at least for now, the most dire predictions of a new major wave of cases in Texas have not come true…
They go on to give more warnings from health officials that suggest spikes may still be coming, of course. But they haven’t so far and that has baffled the so-called experts:
Dr. Fauci on Texas Covid cases dropping despite ignoring his advice on masks/social distancing: "It can be confusing, because … often you have to wait a few weeks before you see the effect … I’m not really quite sure. It could be they’re doing things outdoors" pic.twitter.com/yuFEPoE2BV
